On October 22nd, JROTC participated in the Annual Red Ribbon Week Rally. The rally was held at the William Jefferson Clinton Presidential Center earlier that day. The evening ended with the cadets spending the night camping out at school. First, the cadets enjoyed a water balloon fight between the males and the female cadets, the cadets enjoyed grilled hot dogs with all the fixings, they watched a DVD and ate popcorn late that evening. The cadets were awakened from their slumber at 0500 the next morning. The cadets got in formation, performed calisthenics, and ran around the school's parking lot singing military cadences. Afterwards, the cadets changed into their uniforms and marched to McDonald's for breakfast. The cadets were picked up by their parents by 0900. ----I guess It's true what they say...We do more before 9 AM than most people do all day! ...The cadets truly enjoyed this unique opportunity!
